I am full of curiosity, at times doubt, and a million wonderings about the unknown. I foster my own resilience, by cultivating vulnerability and compassion and in doing so give others permission to do the same.

I am a mother of two teenage daughters and have been married for 18 years. I am a long distance runner, a former ballet dancer and writer, driven by a propensity to make sense of what doesn’t make sense.

As a writer, I’ve authored Ballet’s Child, a full-length contemporary ballet documenting the autobiographical story of a young girl suffering and recovering from an eating disorder. Additionally, I’ve written Sheath, Erosion: A Memoir of Marriage as well as my current body of work called, Charlotte: Seeking Joy in the Midst of Grief.

In my private practice I've served as an Educational and Parenting Consultant across the country, working with parents of students in ESE, Gifted as well as students with Autism, Dyslexia, Sensory Processing Disorder, Oppositional Defiances Disorder and various learning and behavioral differences. This alongside my work as a Marriage Mentor led me to create Fostering Resilience. I hold a BFA from Emerson College and an MFA from Sarah Lawrence College.

As a long time teacher in both private and public schools, I’ve worked with children of all ages. I've created Profession Development workshops on Social Emotional Learning, and served as a teacher mentor. Through various teaching method such as The Harkness Method of Education, modeled by Exeter Academy in New Hampshire as well as Project Based Learning via High Tech High Institute in San Diego, CA, my classroom time is near to my heart.

Additionally at the age of 18, I earned my certification to teach infants and children to swim. Building my own business on word of mouth referrals, I’ve taught over a thousand babies and children while educating parents about their child’s emotional, physical and developmental stages.

I always come back to my deepest passion: helping myself and my student, child or adult, to feel safe enough to be vulnerable, curious, honest, self aware and powerful.
